GreenFlame Biomass Briquettes are made from biomass energy crops grown by farmers in the sunny South East.  The briquettes are made from miscanthus (also known as elephant grass).  GreenFlame briquettes are 100% Irish Grown Energy and offer the same calorific value as peat briquettes (17Mj/kg) – they are very low in ash, smokeless and provide excellent heat.  They can be used in open fireplaces and stoves.  GreenFlame briquettes are carbon neutral, sustainable and renewable.

Wexgen Biomass Agri Services:  We offer farmers a complete support package from first field inspection to the purchase of biomass.  Farmers wishing to avail of the Dept of Agriculture Miscanthus Establishment Grants must be contracted to a company providing an end use for their crops.  Wexgen can offer this contract and a guaranteed purchase price on miscanthus.
